Kingbird Studios is an award-winning production and post-production studio founded by Michael Sanabria. Michael began his career in Puerto Rico where he directed, produced and edited music videos, short films, commercials and also worked as an audio engineer. He then worked for ESPN where he specialized in production and post-production of short form and long form features as well as documentaries for award-winning show like E:60, SC Featured, OTL, NFL Countdown and College Gameday and high profile events like the FIFA World Cup. After his time at ESPN he worked for NBCUniversal/Golf Channel where he continued to push the boundaries of storytelling and post. He worked on hundreds of features and multiple full length docs for high-profile events like all the golf majors and the Olympics and In 2020 he won an Emmy Award for his work on Dylan Reales: El Loco del Palo. He has also won New York Festivals medals, a Promax BDA for sound design and mixing and Best Documentary at the Imagen Awards for Mendota. Now he is the driving force behind Kingbird Studios, a full service production and post-production studio focused on cinema quality storytelling for film, tv and branded content.  Where stories take take flight.
